Scouts Italy on Scoutface

Girl Scouts Italy | Boy Scouts Italy

Scouts of Italy have around 40 different associations and federations and such as France, Russia and Germany it is the country with the most fragmented scout movement. In Italy, scouting began in 1910. Creating responsible citizens and also promoting the development of the youth in achieving their full intellectual, physical, social and spiritual potential is the goal of the scouts of Italy. This can be achieved when they are given responsibility, when they think for themselves, work in teams and take risks. At the present there are 220.000 scouts in this country. Vatican City is one of the 35 countries where there is no National Scout Organization of the Scout Movement or WAGGGS at the present time. Scouts of Italy are "trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent" as the scout law demands. Their mission is that of educating the youth so that it will play an active role in making the world a better place, thinking globally and acting locally and instilling values that will be carried further by the future scouts of Italy.
