Scouts of Portugal are part of the Scouting Federation of Portugal, at the present having over 75.000 members, both boys and girls. There are two members of this federation, Scout Association of Portugal (coeducational, interreligious and with about 9.000 members) and National Scout Corps (coeducational and with over 70.000). Scouts of Portugal are opened to young people aged between 6 to 21 years old and also to adults who wish to participate as volunteers. Their mission is that of educationg the youth so that it will play an active role in making the world a better place. No matter the religion, anyone can be a scout, so long as they obey the scout law, respect the scouts values and share same vision and mission as the other scouts of Portugal. They support the diversity and also the inter-religious cooperation and respect.
