Scouts of Poland are officially recognized by the WOSM and World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts through Polish Scouting and Guiding Association which was founded in 1918. Their mission is that of educating young people and supporting them in a comprehensive development and shaping their character by imposing challenges. Among the objectives of the
scouts of Poland there are creating conditions for the intellectual, social, spiritual, emotional and physical development of man; creating conditions for the establishment and perpetuation of strong interpersonal relationships, transcending race, religion and nationality; instilling values such as freedom, truth, justice, democracy, equality, self governance, tolerance and friendship, etc.
Scouts of Poland are divided in four groups in accordance with the age as follows: Cub Scouts and Brownies (6-11 years), Boy Scouts and Girl Guides (11-13 years), Senior Scouts and Senior Guides (13-16 years) and Rovers and Rangers (16-25 years). The troop is the basic unit of the
scouts of Poland that consists of 20 boys or girls. "It is my sincere wish to serve God and Poland with the whole of my life, to carry my willing help to others, and to obey the Scout and Guide Law" is the oath of the
scouts of Poland.
