Scouts of Philippines are part of The Boy Scouts of the Philippines recognized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement. In the Philippines, scouting began in 1923.Creating responsible citizens and also promoting the development of the youth in achieving their full intellectual, physical, social and spiritual potential is the goal of the
scouts of Philippines. This can be achieved when they are given responsibility, when they think for themselves, work in teams and take risks. At the present there are 1.872.525 scouts in this country, and becoming the third in the world in terms of membership size.
Scouts of Philippines are "trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent" as the scout law demands.
Scouts of Philippines must earn the membership badge prescribed for the program they belong prior to working on the ranks. Their emblem incorporates elements of the flag of the Philippines. Their mission is that of educating the youth so that it will play an active role in making the world a better place, thinking globally and acting locally and instilling values that will be carried further by the future
