Scouts of Mexico were officially recognized at the 4th International Scout Conference in Kandersteg, Switzerland. Shortly after, the "Boy Scouts de Mexico" Association took form and then "Aguiluchos de México" followed by other associations such as the former ones. Sr. Andrés Gómez Oreján is the one who brought the Scout Movement to Mexico, through his initiative of founding the first Scout troop in Puerto de Veracruz. The
scouts of Mexico engaged into activities such as permanent services for the community - from teaching the young to participation in emergency situations. The year 1981 is important for this country in what concerns the development of scouting due to the birth of another association that, also involved the girls. The Mexican Scout Organization is a movement of both young and adult
scouts of Mexico who chose willingly to take part in the education and development of the youth. Among the most important qualities that
scouts of Mexico must have are integrity, solidarity, creativity and kindness and as method of instilling these values, they use the scout method that combines several elements thus ensuring the success of their demarche. At present, this country has a number of approximately 33.500 scouts, both boys and girls that together try to make a difference, help create a better world and promote the
scouts of Mexico name.
