Scouts of Argentina are part of The Scout Organization recognized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement. In Argentina, scouting began in 1912, shortly after the publication of "Scouting For Boys" in Spanish. Creating responsible citizens and also promoting the development of the youth in achieving their full intellectual, physical, social and spiritual potential is the goal of the
scouts of Argentina. This can be achieved when they are given responsibility, when they think for themselves, work in teams and take risks. At the present there are 46.264 scouts in this country.
Scouts of Argentina are "trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent" as the scout law demands. The scout oath of the
Their mission is that of educating the youth so that it will play an active role in making the world a better place, thinking globally and acting locally and instilling values that will be carried further by the future
scouts of Argentina.
